How to Pay for a UniSpain Course

Online payments can cause us uncertainty. How do I pay? Are my money and my credit card details safe? When will I get a booking confirmation?

This article will give you a clear answer to all your questions regarding internet bookings and payments done on UniSpain’s website.

Before payment

Before you pay for a UniSpain course, you should choose your destination and school very carefully. We would suggest you try the UniSpain Course Finder and School Comparison Tool to help you decide, if you haven’t yet made your choice.

Registration

Once you have made a very firm decision, you then need to register for a course. Check out our registration guide if you have any doubts.

Payment Security

UniSpain is SSL certified for secure online payments. This means that any money you pay, and your personal and credit card details, are safe when you use UniSpain’s online payment system.

We also abide by strict EU data protection legislation, so your personal information will only ever be shared with the language school you are going to study at.

Price

During the registration process, and also in the email confirmation afterwards, you will see how much your chosen course costs. It might look something like this:

You’ll also see the accommodation price here, if you have chosen to book some together with your course. The final price you see is the whole, final amount you’ll be paying for your course and UniSpain will not add any hidden, additional fees to the booking later.

Payment Options

During the registration, you’ll be presented with three payment options:

  1. Pay a 200€ deposit
  2. Pay the full amount of the course
  3. Pay later

What happens if I choose to pay a DEPOSIT? If you pay a 200€ deposit, your course will be firmly booked. You will then need to pay the full amount of the course by latest 4 weeks before your arrival date. NOTE: If your course starts earlier than 4 weeks before arrival, you cannot first pay a deposit and then the rest; instead you need to pay the full amount straight away.

What about FULL payment? When you pay the whole price, your language course will be fully booked, and you won’t need to do anything else. If you are booking your course less than 4 weeks before the arrival date, then you must pay the full amount to book a course.

What if I choose to pay later? If you register without paying anything, your course booking will not be held for you until you pay at least a deposit. To make sure that your course place is reserved, you need to pay a minimum deposit of 200€ as soon as possible, to ensure there is space at the school, and then the full amount latest 4 weeks before your arrival date.

Payment Methods

  • The deposit can be paid by credit card, bank transfer or via PayPal.
  • The total course amount can usually only be paid by credit card or by bank transfer, but not by PayPal.

NOTE: There is an exception to the last case, where if the full outstanding amount is less than 1000€ you can still pay it via PayPal, but an additional 2% is charged on top. This is because PayPal charges UniSpain about 3,5% for payment processing (this is also the reason why the amount is limited to 1000€).

Paying by credit card

If you pay the deposit or a full price by credit card, your booking will be instantly confirmed. (Only Visa and MasterCard are accepted). Do this by choosing the credit card option on the payment form. You will be asked to enter in your personal and credit card information. Once completed, you will get an instant payment confirmation on the screen and by email.

Bank Transfer

Bank transfers from abroad can take up to a week to show in UniSpain’s bank account, especially if there is a weekend or a bank holiday in between. This is why deposits and full price payments will take up to 7 days to confirm, and consequently, we cannot affirm your cooking until we have received your money.

Bank fees. All bank fees for the transfers need to be paid by you, the sender. If there is any money missing from the total amount because of deducted bank fees, you will then need to pay the missing amount to UniSpain later. So it’s best to clearly instruct your bank to charge from the start, that any bank transfer fees or currency commissions should be charged at your end.

Reference. Also, please take care to clearly mark the student’s name as the bank transfer reference. UniSpain could have many different bank transfers coming in every week, so we will be able to spot your payment in our bank account much more easily if it’s referenced in the student’s name. We can then confirm your booking to you quickly, as soon as we know we’ve received your money.

If you want to send payment by bank transfer, you will need to give the following information to your bank:

Receiver: Accom Consulting Spain, S.L.

Bank: Bankinter

Address: c/ Molina Lario, 16. 29015 – Malaga, Spain

Account Number: 0128 0781 13 0500002724

IBAN Number: ES97 0128 0781 1305 0000 2724

SWIFT Code / BIC (Bank Identifier Code): BKBKESMM

PayPal

PayPal is a free and secure way to pay for items online. If you do not have a PayPal account, it’s easy and safe to set up, as long as you have an email address:

  1. Go to www.PayPal.com
  2. Click Sign Up at the top of the page.
  3. Select your country or region.
  4. Choose “Personal Account” and click Get Started.
  5. Enter your information, including your full email address, and choose a password (it must contain at least eight characters). Make sure you remember these, as you will need these to log in to your PayPal account later.
  6. Click Agree and Create Account.

Once you have set up PayPal, you can then pay the UniSpain 200€ course deposit through this payment method. Do this by choosing PayPal in the UniSpain payment options. The system will take you to a PayPal payment page and prompt you to sign into your account with your email address and password. Simply follow the instructions on the screen to complete the payment process.

PayPal will also send you a receipt by email, additionally to the UniSpain payment confirmation message you’ll also receive from us.

What if I don’t want to pay yet?

How to Pay for a UniSpain Course - imagen by iwedhotelsIf you chose the “Pay Later” option during your registration, we would encourage you to send at least the deposit as soon as possible.

If you’ve paid a deposit, your course is booked. But remember, the full course amount must also be paid latest by 4 weeks before your arrival date.

Especially for high season courses, places fill up very quickly and unless you pay a deposit or the full price on time, UniSpain unfortunately cannot guarantee a place on your chosen course.

Refunds

Deposit refunds: The 200€ deposit is absolutely non-refundable.

Course fee refunds: Up to four weeks before your arrival date, you are entitled to a full refund of the course price you have paid, minus 200€, which is considered a non-refundable deposit. If you cancel closer than four weeks to your arrival date, you are only refunded a fraction of your payment. If you cancel after your arrival date, you’ll get no money back. Accommodation refunds are also subject to deadlines and availability.

Everything you need to know about how UniSpain refunds work, is explained in an easy way here.

Payment and Booking Confirmation

Once we receive a payment from you, we will book your course. A payment also means that UniSpain will immediately start arranging your accommodation. We will notify you as these steps get completed, by email, Skype or phone call. We’ll also contact you if we need further clarification about any of the details or requests you have sent to us.

Equally, if you have any questions or doubts, please do not hesitate to contact us for any queries about payments or your booking.

¡Muchas gracias! We wish you a great Spanish course in Spain!
